Abstract
The current research investigates the influence of value-based education (VBE) on adolescents' character development during a vital formative stage of life when their personal values and moral directions are established. Embracing the increasing need for developing empathy, integrity, responsibility, and respect among youth, the study probes how formalized VBE programs affect moral and behavioural growth. With a mixed-methods design employing surveys, interviews, and observation, the study identifies the transformation of students' attitudes and behaviours prior to and following the introduction of VBE programs. Results indicate an increase in positive character traits like honesty, cooperation, and empathy, which implies that the incorporation of value-driven learning into school curricula has a positive impact on adolescent development. The research emphasizes the need to integrate ethical education into mainstream pedagogy and provides insights for teachers and policymakers to create more integrated educational systems designed to produce responsible and ethical citizens.
